Why Christmas is the Best Holiday
Christmas is the best holiday ever! First of all, there are presents. Santa Claus comes down the chimney and leaves gifts under the Christmas tree. Kids wake up in the morning and run to see what they got. It could be a cool toy, a new book, or even a bike.
Then there’s the Christmas tree. Families decorate it with shiny lights, colorful balls, and cute ornaments. It looks so pretty and makes the house feel warm and happy.
Christmas also has delicious food. There are cookies, cakes, and turkey. Everyone sits around the table and has a big meal together. It’s a time for families to be together.
We also get to sing Christmas songs. Jingle Bells and Silent Night are so much fun to sing. And we can make snowmen if it snows. Christmas has all these great things, so it’s better than any other holiday!
Why Valentine’s Day is Not So Great
Valentine’s Day is my least – favorite holiday. First, it’s all about giving cards and chocolates to someone you like. But what if you don’t have a special someone? You just feel left out.
The stores are full of pink and red things, and it can be really annoying. You can’t even go shopping without seeing all those hearts and lovey – dovey stuff.
Also, it can be expensive. People spend a lot of money on flowers and fancy dinners. That money could be used for other more important things, like buying new toys or books.
Some people might say it’s a day to show love, but you can show love any day. You don’t need a special day for that. So, Valentine’s Day is inferior to other holidays.
Why Halloween is the Top Holiday
Halloween is the best holiday! On Halloween, you get to dress up as your favorite character. You can be a superhero, a princess, or a scary monster. It’s so much fun to pick out a costume.
Then there’s trick – or – treating. You go from house to house and say “Trick or treat!” People give you candies. You can get all kinds of yummy treats like chocolate bars, gummies, and lollipops.
There are also Halloween parties. You can play games like bobbing for apples. And the decorations are really cool. There are pumpkins with scary faces, cobwebs, and ghosts.
Halloween is a time to have fun and be a little bit scary. That’s why it’s better than all the other holidays.
Why Labor Day is Not the Best
Labor Day is my least – favorite holiday. It doesn’t have a lot of exciting things. It’s just a day off from school and work. There aren’t any cool costumes like on Halloween or presents like on Christmas.
Most of the time, people just have picnics or barbecues. It’s okay, but it’s not very special. There aren’t any fun traditions like singing songs or going trick – or – treating.
Also, after Labor Day, summer is almost over. That means it’s time to go back to school and do homework. It’s like a sign that the fun is ending.
So, compared to other holidays, Labor Day is not as great.
Why Thanksgiving is the Best Holiday
Thanksgiving is the best holiday. One of the best things is the food. There’s a big turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes, and pumpkin pie. It all tastes so good.
Thanksgiving is a time for families to come together. Everyone sits around the table and shares what they are thankful for. It makes you think about all the good things in your life.
There are also parades on Thanksgiving. You can watch big balloons and bands on TV. It’s really exciting to see all the colorful floats.
After the meal, you can play games with your family. You can play football in the yard or board games inside. Thanksgiving has so many great things, so it’s superior to other holidays.
