Essay on A Visit to a Zoo for kids

Essay 1: My First Trip to the Zoo

One sunny morning, my class went on a field – trip to the zoo. I was so excited! As soon as we entered, there was a big map of the zoo. We followed it to start our adventure.

First, we saw the lions. They were huge and had big, golden manes. One of them was lying in the sun, looking very lazy. When it roared, it was so loud that I jumped a little!

Next, we went to the monkey area. The monkeys were so funny. They were swinging from the trees and chasing each other. One monkey even stole a banana from a boy in our class! Everyone laughed.

The giraffes were my favorite. They were so tall that they could reach the leaves at the top of the trees. I got to feed one of them a leaf. Its tongue was so long and soft when it took the leaf from my hand.

We also saw the penguins. They were waddling around on the ice. Some of them jumped into the water and swam really fast. It was like they were little black and white rockets.

At the end of the day, we were all tired but very happy. I learned so many new things about the animals at the zoo.

Essay 2: A Weekend Zoo Visit

On the weekend, my family and I went to the zoo. We arrived early, and the zoo was just waking up.

We went straight to the elephant area. The elephants were huge! They were using their trunks to pick up hay and put it in their mouths. One elephant sprayed water on itself with its trunk. It looked like it was having a lot of fun.

Then we saw the snakes. There were all kinds of snakes in the glass cages. Some were long and thin, and some were short and fat. One snake was slithering around in a circle. It was a bit scary, but also really cool.

The birds were amazing. There were colorful parrots that could talk. One parrot said “Hello!” to me. The flamingos were standing on one leg in the water. Their feathers were a bright pink color.

We watched the seal show. The seals were so smart. They could balance balls on their noses and do flips in the water. They got a fish as a treat when they did a good job.

By the time we left the zoo, I had a big smile on my face. It was a great day with my family.

Essay 3: A School Zoo Visit

Our school organized a visit to the zoo. We were all very excited as we got on the bus.

When we reached the zoo, we first went to see the pandas. The pandas were so cute! They were sitting and eating bamboo. Their black and white fur made them look like big, fluffy toys.

After that, we went to the reptile house. There were turtles and lizards. The turtles were moving very slowly, and the lizards were running around on the rocks.

The zebras were really interesting. They had black and white stripes all over their bodies. It was hard to tell one zebra from another. They were grazing on the grass in their enclosure.

We also saw the kangaroos. They were hopping around. The baby kangaroo, called a joey, was peeking out of its mother’s pouch. It was so tiny and cute.

We ended our visit at the petting zoo. We got to touch some goats and rabbits. They were so soft. It was a great day at the zoo, and I learned a lot about different animals.

Essay 4: A Rainy Day at the Zoo

It was raining when my mom and I went to the zoo, but we still had a great time.

We started by going to the indoor areas. First, we visited the aquarium. There were all kinds of fish in the big tanks. Some fish were small and colorful, and some were big and scary – looking. There was a huge shark swimming around. It made me a bit nervous.

Next, we went to the insect house. There were butterflies with big, beautiful wings. Some of them were fluttering around the flowers. We also saw spiders and beetles. They were strange – looking but very interesting.

When the rain stopped a little, we went outside to see the bears. The bears were playing in the mud. They were rolling around and having a great time. One bear stood up on its hind legs and looked at us.

We also saw the peacocks. Their feathers were all spread out, looking like a big, colorful fan. It was really beautiful.

Even though it was rainy, our visit to the zoo was full of fun and new discoveries.

Essay 5: A Night Visit to the Zoo

One special night, my dad took me to a night – time zoo event. It was so different from a day visit.

We first went to see the nocturnal animals. The owls were sitting very still on the branches. Their big eyes glowed in the dark. They looked like little wise old men.

The bats were flying around in a big cage. They were so fast that it was hard to keep up with them. They made a strange flapping sound as they flew.

We saw the raccoons. They were very active at night. They were rummaging through the leaves, looking for food. Their little hands were so busy.

There was also a night – time feeding show. The zookeeper fed the lions. It was a bit scary to see the lions up close at night, but also really exciting.

As we walked around the zoo, the moonlight made everything look magical. It was a night at the zoo that I will always remember.
